Carl Rosman Carl Rosman was born in England and studied clarinet in Australia, with Phillip Miechel in Melbourne and with Peter Jenkin in Sydney. He was awarded a Kranichsteiner Musikpreis at the 1994 Darmstädter Ferienkurse and graduated with a Masters degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2001. After periods of residence in Stuttgart and Paris he now lives in Köln. He is a member of the ensembles ELISION and musikFabrik, and performs as a soloist across a wide range of repertoire from the Romantic period to the present day, specialising in the most demanding works of the contemporary solo repertoire. Carl Rosman wurde in England geboren und studierte in Australien bei Philip Miechel in Melbourne und bei Peter Jenkin in Sydney Klarinette. Er erhielt 1994 beim Darmstädter Ferienkurs den Kranichsteiner Musikpreis und absolvierte 2001 mit einem Masters-Titel das Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Nachdem er in Stuttgart und Paris gelebt hat, hat er sich nun in Köln niedergelassen. Er ist Mitglied der Ensembles ELISION und musikFabrik und tritt als Solist mit einem breiten Repertoire von der Romantik bis zur Gegenwart auf, wobei er sich auf die schwierigsten Werke des zeitgenössischen Solo-Repertoires spezialisiert. |
