The piano sound always remains the center of gravitation, while the orchestra is the amplifier giving space to the piano.” (Marie Luise Maintz) Das Konzert für Klavier und Orchester (2007) ist eine Spurensuche im Sinne einer Neuerkundung des Klangs: die Fortsetzung und Summe seiner komponierten Auseinandersetzung mit dem Klavierklang, dessen Phänomenen, Resonanzen, Obertonspektren, Pedalisierungen. „Mein Hauptanliegen war“, so sagt Beat Furrer, „dem Klavier im ganzen Stück eine Resonanz zu geben und die Plastizität des Klavierklangs zu erhalten. Der Klavierklang bleibt immer das Gravitationszentrum, und das Orchester ist der Verstärker, der dem Klavier einen Raum gibt.“ (Marie Luise Maintz) |
